Beeswax Novelty Candle
There are six criteria used to judge entries in Class 16, Novelty Candles, i.e., cleanliness, originality, uniformity of appearance, color, aroma and absence of cracks and shrinkage. The wax cappings removed from a frame of honey just prior to extracting make some of the nicest beeswax and the aroma of honey is stronger the closer it is to the time when the wax was first poured.
Landi Simone's entry took first place with a score of 94 out of a possible 100. You can see more of Simone's beeswax candles at her website, Gooserock Farm.
