Questions and answers
Armed with notebooks and pens, new and old beekeepers had many opportnities to learn at the spring state meeting which was hosted on June 6, 2009 at the JCC Camps in Medford, NJ by the South Jersey Beekeepers Association (SJBA).
Attendees, like those at left, not only got to ask experts and more experienced beekeepers questions on IPM (Integrated Pest Management), feeding, inspecting and many other aspects of beekeeping, but also got to rub elbows with other beekeepers.
The members of the SJBA are to be lauded for putting on an enjoyable and very informative meeting. Lucky members walked off with proceeds from a 50-50 raffle and a large variety of door prizes from NJ-bred queen bees to bee-friendly plants.
