Selling Raffle Tickets

Covering every base for making a profit, or at least meeting costs related to hosting a state meeting, SJBA members Angelo Trapani, Blanche Fisher and Bea Legnaiol made the rounds selling raffle tickets for the 50/50 (won by ?) and a plethora of door prizes from honey bee-friendly plants and frame grips to NJ-bred queens and ?.

There are four state meetings every year, and the NJBA Executive Board, comprised of the elected state officers, branch presidents and secretaries, and committee chairs, is always looking for a branch to volunteer to plan and host a state meeting. This was the SJBA's first attempt in a number of years, and it was extremely well received and successful.

Haven't been able to attend a state meeting because they're too far from home? See if you can get your branch to host a fall, winter or spring meeting. Assistance in planning and funding is available form the state organization.
