Sheet Rock is Off, Colony is exposed
South Jersey Beekeepers Association (SJBA) member Dana Wilberg has just removed the sheetrock to expose the colony of bees that populated the false wall.
Typically called a cutout, this technique allows a beekeeper to remove the honey bees, comb with honey and brood and relocate them to a managed hive.
After removal is complete it's important that the owner of the structure has repairs made so that scout bees from future swarms can't gain access to the same space.
