January's featured speaker is Adele Barree. She will be discussing honey bee corbiculae. These are the pollen baskets located on the hind legs of honey bees. Foragers use these pollen baskets to bring pollen back to the hive. Adele will educate us with a fascinating talk about a "bee and her basket."
Q&A:
Questions about general topics and winter management will be answered.

Nutrition:
As winter is upon us, it is time to start thinking about preparing to feed your bees in early Spring. This month's discussion will focus on feeding supplements available to you, as well as those you can make at home. Also under consideration will be winter nutrition and what can be done if your bees need additional food in the winter months.
Chemistry of Bees:
Jim McCaulley will fascinate us with the chemistry of bees! Included in his talk will be the chemicals that are produced by bees, the chemicals found in the environment, and the chemicals that we use within our beekeeping repertoire. You are sure to be enlightened with Jim's presentation. Hope you can attend.

NJBA Winter Meeting - 2 Day Seminar

NJ Flower & Garden Show

Hunterdon County Earth Day

NWNJB Exec Meeting
